Praxis II (biology test) taken, GRE scheduled

Well, I took my long awaited biology test last Sunday. I usually don’t like to say how a test went until either I get the results back or I just know that I did well. But I will say that I generally had a good feeling about it. I’m definitely glad I bought a biology text book to study from. I can’t say that I did as well on this as the basic skills (WEST-B) test, but I do have a feeling that I passed. I’ll know for sure in about four weeks.

Also scheduled my GRE today. I’ll be taking that in just under two weeks. Although this looks like it will be more difficult than the basic skills test or the biology test, it was the biology test I was most concerned with since not passing that would mean not getting into the program at all. If I don’t pass the GRE, I can still at least get my teaching certificate and get the Masters later.

But I feel like I have momentum now. The GRE is the last test, and the program is around the corner. So I’ll just keep moving forward.

I haven’t heard yet if I’ve been accepted to the teaching program yet. But as I‘d mentioned in an earlier post, I think that’s mainly because I’d gotten my MIT application sent out late (due to being sick). I imagine that had I only applied for the teaching certificate (without the Masters), I would know by now. But I sure would like to know.

More on this when I know more.
