Stalled out

Interesting day, yesterday was. (Hmm…I’m talking like Yoda. “When an interesting day yesterday you’ve had, write a blog entry about it you will.”)

*ahem*

Anyway, yeah. So, like, I tried to update my ad on craigslist regarding my apartment, but it said I’d already posted a similar ad. Ok. Well, right. It was the same ad. Fine, I can’t post the same ad twice.

So I deleted my ad and tried to post it again, so it wouldn’t get buried in the new ads. But every time I deleted my ad and tried to post it again, it said I’ve already posted a similar ad. And I’m like, “But it’s not there anymore! I deleted it, you @%$#face!” (Yes, I talk to my computer. It helps.)

What was weird was that I had succeeded the day before to delete and repost my ad so it would be listed on a more recent day. So I don’t get it. But I’ll try dinking around with it.

The other problem was my computer is so ridden with viruses that I have difficulty getting it to start up properly and more problems getting internet connection. I’d like to reinstall Windows, but the restore disks that Best Buy gave me five years ago when I bought the computer don’t work. A notice comes up on my monitor that says they’re the wrong discs (…wait why is “disc” spelled with a “c” instead of a “k”? Weren’t floppies “floppy disks”?...). Anyway, so they don’t work. I asked Best Buy what I could do and…you know what? I don’t even want to talk about this because they were worthless.

So back to my main story. Right. Had problems with craigslist. So I gave that a rest and went to post ads for my apartment at SMU. That went alright except for the fact the allotted spots for me to post were quite crowded so I couldn’t find the most advantageous placements. But it went alright. I also saw a few people from the teaching program while I was there, so that was cool.

However, on my way home, I checked my cell phone and found that it had no service and the battery only had two bars on it…then one bar…then it turned blank. But didn’t turn off. I couldn’t tell it wasn’t off because it was sunny. I thought I had until I realized the battery was getting pretty hot. So I took the battery out.

Then I tried to get back to the craigslist thing again, but found that I couldn’t get online. Not only that, but when I tried to restart my computer it wouldn’t start up properly…like, it would open the first few programs and then just, not open anymore, like Norton, or internet service, etc.

So the grand outcome for the day was, I couldn’t post my ad on craigslist, and even if I could, the two ways of me being contacted (email and phone) were out of service.

Well, things are better now. So, I guess I can relax a bit. In my next post, I think I want to talk about the book I’m reading now.
